Dorothy B. Oven Park is spectacular in the day time.. but even more spectacular during the Holidays. It's a must for everyone! Enter off Thomasville Road North, turn your lights off, drive a short way to the parking lot, then hop out and explore the park which is lit with tens of thousands of Christmas lights.
I'm a history buff, so between real estate appointments, I like to poke around some of the historic areas in Tallahassee. The Tallahassee Old City Cemetery is the oldest burial ground in the city, established in 1829by the Florida Territorial Legislature. There are 4 sections to the cemetery which hold the graves of Civil War soldiers, Confederate and Union, African-American leaders and church elders, yellow fever, and Florida Governors and political leaders.
There are a lot of historic areas in Tallahassee like the Lake Jackson Indian Mounds, the Myers Park and Cascade Park Area. It's just fun to take a few minutes occasionally and think about all who were here before us.

The Wine Loft Tallahassee Opened a few months ago. Built over a cute clothing store, Cole Couture, contains fashions that my two girls love. the Wine Loft has become yet another popular gathering place for friends to meet after work and for sepcial events. They have a great menu of foods that pair well with their wine selections. They also offer a few good ports and scotch selections as well as some select beers. I found it to be relaxing, adn a great place to meet the 30's and 40's crowd. If you like wine an a cozy atmosphere with a crisp breeze, the Wine Loft is a great place to visit!

There were always simpler times. If you can't look back, you can never move forward. Make these the best of times, the times that make you laugh, the times that bring you close to,.... the simpler times.
